Petter Southall steam bent solid oak hardwood furniture is hand made at i tre furniture studio often to bespoke and specially commissioned designs. Combining outstanding craftsmanship with original beautiful designs, natural finishes and interesting textures, Petter is inspired by his boat building past to create furniture 'exquisite in its simplicity'.

Petter Southall Sextant Circular Table

Petter Southall started working wood as a traditional wooden boat builder in Norway. He studied cabinet making in California with James Krenov, and sustainable design in Dorset with John Makepeace. His furniture combines boat building techniques with inspirational cabinet making. He has made reception areas, desks, and boardrooms as well as dining rooms, conservatory furniture, garden benches, seating for public spaces, hospital sanctuaries and sculpture trails. Known for his visually delightful, practical and comfortable chairs and beautiful tables and cabinets, Petter works in native Northern European timbers responding to the character of the wood with each individual piece.
